Press Play is the brainchild of Alex Butler, one of Miami’s hottest DJs. These video interviews, developed in partnership with EliteDaily.com, attempts to show a more intimate side of some of the most esteemed House and Trance DJs. Alex, as a DJ himself, knows that the interview process can be tedious and excruciating, with so many interviewers asking the same monotonous questions, never revealing the underlying personality that drives the artist’s musical creations. With Press Play, the audience will always find something never heard from other interviews, and with a few laughs along the way, provide fans with an insight into the mind of these illustrious entertainers that they have not seen before.

As the photographer on this project, my job will be to capture some of that flavor in still shots; single images that can show the audience the unspoken fun and excitement in both the interviews and the DJ performance. Come back regularly to see more.
